Just interested to know who people have recruited to AFL from far corners of the world.
I was working in Turkey earlier this year and a Turkish colleague was telling me about his passion for his soccer team, Fenerbache. I admitted my Swans addiction which he thought was funny for a 48 yr old female, but we shared football stories. Before leaving I gave him a Swans cap and said I had a good feeling about this year and maybe the Turkish national colours (red and white) were a good omen!
Ever since he has followed every game via the web and emails and just yesterday I received the funniest email starting with "We are the champions"! He is now proudly wearing his Swans loyal member cap around Ankara!
