Please be aware the Canberra Marathon will also be taking place this Sunday April 18th. Some road closures will be in place which could cause possible traffic congestion. If you are planning to head to Canberra :
Plan to arrive early for the big match between the Swans and Roos. The match starts at 1.10pm but gates are open from 8.15am. Come and watch a game from the Australian Defence Force National Championships from 8.30am.
Avoid the fuss and take a bus to the game: - ACTION buses are running special services direct to Manuka Oval from the Tuggeranong, Woden, Belconnen and City interchanges. Visit www.action.act.gov.au or call 13 17 10 for timetable details. Normal fares apply.
The following Clubs are also running buses with a combined match and ride ticket. Call the Canberra Labor Club, Ainslie Football Club, Queanbeyan Tigers and Belconnen Magpies for details.

The Sydney Swans will be running a free sausage sizzle to coincide with the Swans Reserves match against the Queanbeyan Tigers on Saturday April 17th. Immediately following the game, all are welcome to join the Sydney Swans Reserves and Queanbeyan Tigers for a drink at the Queanbeyan Tigers Football Club located opposite the Margaret Donoghoe Oval. So make a weekend of it, get down to Canberra on Saturday and support the Swans Reserves. No booking essential for this BBQ. There will also be Swans merchandise available for sale at the BBQ.
