    Time and Place

Interesting that people are talking about the shape of the ground and how it may affect the contest on Sunday.

We have a pronounced home ground advantage at the SCG and I for one are pleased that the game this weekend will be played there.

Whether our guys our immature or it's something else, the opposition tends to rise or when tend to fall or both when playing us at SA.

It is to our own detriment to play the big games at a venue where we fail to perform.

If we win on Sunday, I for one am going to personally ask Roosy about this point.

I raised the issue of lights earlier in the year and whilst I may have been half joking at the time - empirical evidence suggests that we play our best football during the day and worst at night.

If you look at our good recent wins; Roos in Canberra, Port last year, both games vs Lions last year, tight loss to Adelaide last year all have been during the day.

There's lies, damn lies and statistics but all things being equal would prefer to be playing the Saints at the SCG during the day than Homebush at night.
