    MOL/ROK/DAvis accuracy

    " O'loughlin:

    Rd 1: 2.0 (2.0)
    Rd 2: 2.0 (4.0)
    Rd 3: 4.1 (8.1)
    Rd 4: 1.0 (9.1)
    Rd 5: 1.4 (10.5)
    Rd 6: 0.1 (10.6)

    Shot accuracy: 63% (excl. OOBOTF*)

O'loughlin better go get lessons from Davis and O'Keefe quicksmart. Our season is on the line if he doesn't. "

Both ROK/Davis are usually all over the ground. MOL is usually positioned at forward area mainly to kick goals.
As one chap pointed out, MOL kicking for goals are usually close to goals whereas ROK/Davis are usually further out
Somehow, when MOL is kicking for goal, I dont feel confident due to his different techniques - u dont know what to expect. Whereas when Davis kicks, I think most would feel confident - he just repeat his routine over & over again. If he misses, he doesn't miss by much.
With higher kicking count number and if you kicking in a set pattern, you are MORE likely to get higher accuracy, in my opinion. The sample above could be small. Maybe earlier in game 1 & 2, his kicking routine is ok with his confidence intact. But he appears to lose the set routine lately. And I think, he is conscious of his failure & start to lack confidence (as it has happened in the final 2005 which was total MOL failure, inexcusable by professional standard)- this can excerbate the problem in the future. If he has has a set routine, he can repeat the routine.
Set routine brings me images of league players kicking for goal.
They just repeat the procedure ALL the time - eg they step back two steps, then step side way three steps & kick in the same way. 1-2 years ago, a top British union player was number one in kicking for gaol - he said he practised again & again until he is prefect (this was well reported in the media). he won the union championship on his kicking.

O'Keefe was very good today, particularly in the second half.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
