It's a little weird though,
His form on Sun. was probably his best for the year. Yes, the brainfart was costly but plenty for the Lions have done worse over the years. I didn't read any comments from Aker this week that inflamed the situation in anyway. Quite the opposite he was apologetic and concilliatory. If you were going to drop him it would not have been this week.Skipper Michael Voss said Akermanis was dropped for "lack of form and his inability to meet team disciplines, standard and expectations". He said the match committee and leadership group made the decision following Akermanis' comments in the media this week. -
I strongly doubt that a kick up the bum would work for a 18-20 yr old Aker. At 30-31 whatever it is there is no chance.
