That makes me feel better about the season. Brerton is the worse judge in AFL history. Just check past predictions.

On the flip side, Matthew Lloyd has tipped us to take the next step and win the flag. He cited our coaching change has come at the perfect time and liked what he's seen from Cox. He also mentioned we were clearly the best team in the H&A last season.

Yes, the journalists on the AFL site all have us making the eight, although none of them have us making the grand final.

The other relevant thing for us, is that a couple of them have Chad winning the Brownlow.

Its been alleged that between 2012 to 2022 Frank Costa paid Joel Selwood's salary outside the salary cap rules.Still under investigation.

Sure. Although, occasionally I do get slightly tempted to create a sock puppet account, just to increase "engagement".

Impossible for Geelong to be charged with breaking the salary cap when they don't have one.

One fascination for the weekend will be the captaincy.

Last year, Rampe filled the breach but would not be surprised if we moved on, with all respect to the great man.

Rowie had the job against the Gold Coast on the weekend and wouldn’t be surprised if he had it again. A great reward if it happens.

We should invite TheBloods back onto the site to get his views …

He's injured, according to the injury list on the AFL website (quad, 2 to 3 weeks). I have no idea when that happened.

And on injury numbers: in the last five years or so, I don't think Brisbane have ever had as much as ten players on their injury list at any one time. About the worst they suffered, was early last year, when four players went down with season ending injuries, but besides them, I think there was only another couple of players out.

Then almost all of their team stayed healthy for the rest of the year. Hence the momentum that they had at finals time. It'd be nice if we got healthier as the season goes on.
wasn't a dig either but Mills aside, we couldn't have had a better overall run with injuries last year.

We had a couple out here and there but did very well the rest of the time
