How does a dud team like Footscray keep getting these gun father-suns coming through, not to mention Collingwood and Geelong. The Swans players either sire daughters or sons who are not AFL standard. Our best four progeny finished up at other clubs- Mitchell, Dunkley, Daniher and Dempster.
Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.

Discussion on First Crack tonight, initiated by the Herald Sun's Jay Clark, speculating that the Swans could look at trading for Jamara Ugle-Hagan.

The amount of clauses you would have to put in that contract would be a legal nightmare

Whilst JUH would be a good fit, i can't see us having the trade capital to get any deal done as our priority will be to secure the touted Academy trio of King, Carmichael and Chamberlain. We already have our work cut out to match these bids if they come early under the new AFL f/s & Academy rules. We may go into points deficit over the next 2 years in order to secure them..

We may also not have the cap space in anycase if we re-sign Warner. We're not Geelong in that regard! Brisbane might be his best fit after Joe Daniher's retirement.

JUH a great talent but way too big a risk IMO.

I get young blokes go through rough patches and you'd like to think a club like ours has a great culture - but if even one quarter of the stories about him are true, it's a truly hard pass.

Yes, there aren't many farms in central Sydney. Did I read somewhere that JUH has aspirations of being a farmer down on the coast?

Hopefully it won't be rented to a sponsor of the Eagles or Dockers, who then pay well over the odds.

                              He is.

And to be frank, between WCE a basket case, the Dockers not having capacity to get him, and the combo of FA, a new CBA and Tassie coming into play at end of 2027 pushing his following contract to wild numbers, he’d be dumb to do anything other than a two year deal.

Mitch Cleary (Agenda Setters) & Fox Footy (Midweek Tackle) also reporting similar tonight.

Mitch adding that Chad is staying in WA for a few days to catchup with his family and management. He is of the opinion if Chad doesn’t sign within the next 2-3 weeks, that WC & Freo will be back in play.
