McCartin certain to play perm forward.

Clearly or Hanily are likely sub unless they go with Francis, because do we need 3 KPDs against Port?

Maclean to play 2nd ruck role.

Interesting how we will line up with Francis in.
I'm figuring it's Francis sub. Provides coverage if any tall goes down - forward, back or ruck. If that doesn't happen he can bolster either end if needed, releasing someone like Bice. If none of that is needed then great.

There was me thinking that Hamling might make way - I thought he was very bland last week - for Melican. I'd have kept Ladhams in the side as the second tall forward and had McCartin back.

But instead they've added another tall defender, rather than dropped one.

That said, I can see the purpose in keeping Ladhams away from playing Port. After his VFL performance this week, maybe we'll see him back in the senior team next week (in place of Hamling and/or Francis). I reckon McDonald could do with a bit more time to build up his fitness and touch before returning to the senior team.

With Ladhams being the BOG in the VFL yesterday you were probably right. I believe Hamling will be the sub. I hope they use Francis as a floating type of defender. Its the only position he can play.

If Francis could replicate his intercepting role he plays in the VFL could give us something we so desperately lack in the firsts, one thing for sure PA will bomb it long into the fwd 50 regularly seems to be part of there game style.

Our biggest struggle, probably like most teams, is to defend the quick entry.

Our defense relies on an out-number

Maybe Francis first time in a defense with other talls helps him intercept

we just need some experience back because 5 or 6 key of of our key players out is huge. against the pies we had like 1 contested mark the whole game we need to clean up disposals. another thing i couldnt really understand was our constant swing of up and down pressure. our losses were nothing when you consider half the team basically is missing

playing at home today its a nice day for footy. as long as we can keep the pressure on port i think we will win.

              LETS GO!!
