General footy chat Round 17: the other games.

Looks like another one of those rounds, where pretty well all of the games seem as though they're going to be one-sided. I suppose that I'll watch a match or two, because I genuinely love the sport, but looking at the fixture, nothing really appeals to me. I mean, I guess I'd like to see North upset the Bulldogs tonight, but I can't really see myself actively barracking for them. And I would like to see the Suns give the Bombers a thrashing, but that probably wouldn't be helpful for our slim finals hopes.

But hey, if you're enthused about something, don't let my grumbling put you off,

I often find Marvel Stadium games to be extremely boring but tonight's game is a ripper. Both teams "going for it" and, with 4 minutes to go in the first half, a total of 101 points has been scored!

I thoroughly dislike both teams but have to admit I only dislike the Poodles because of 2016. Norf supporters are thoroughly detestable and have been for a very long time so I'd prefer a Poodles win.

Good to see the Luke Sayers legacy continue to grow. The PWC boss when they were rorting taxpayers, ‘accidentally’ issuing dick pics and chairing Carlton till recently to this level of ineptitude.

He should honestly be confined to sleeping on a park bench.

"Is that a statue of Luke Sayers?"
"No, I think it is Luke Sayers. "

It’s almost as funny as St Kilda spending $1.7m a year on a slightly above average ruck. I guess it means they’ll win trade week.

This week's fixture is less interesting than usual because every match is a team in the top nine places of the ladder playing a team in the bottom nine places of the ladder. So far, most of the matches are playing exactly like that, with a lot of one-sided games.

Here's hoping the Sydney-Fremantle game produces an "upset". Sydney defeated Fremantle by 3 points earlier in the year, so another win against Fremantle is possible.
