Match thread: Swans v North

I didn't watch the game live - far too stressful for me - but just watched the mini-game on Kayo. The barracking for Norf by commentators was disgusting! -
Cox said after the match that the Swans are likely to get McCartin, Curnow and Serong back for the game against Collingwood next week.

He seems to have one purpose and talent in life, and it ain’t playing skilful footy. Shame he took it out on Callum Mills.Had a calm read of the comments, very entertaining as it always is. It seems pretty obvious we didn't play that well and we also have to remember that North aren't 'Norf' anymore and are playing a very competitive brand of footy this season.
Sometimes you just have to win ugly.....and good teams still win when playing badly. We are a good team.....and will learn from this.
I'll also add, so glad we got rid of that PITA Kostanty.....what a little POS he is.
He’d also be the easiest sledge in the world. “Enjoy going back to bricklaying next year”. Coz he isn’t going to be on a footy list.👍 1Leave a comment:

Bank the win. Kudos to Heeney, Blakey, JJ and loved the games of the old fellas, Cunningham and Ramps. Rampe mopped up a lot down back and did a good job on Darling after he’d beaten Melican. likewise, Cunningham one of the few to apply heat and pressure. Nice to see Logan and McDonald take their chances.
Boy we miss Tom McCartin. The lack of midfield pressure didn’t help but we were a bit of a schemozzle at times defensively, though I thought Edwards did well to contain Larkey.
He was hardly a lone solider today but Bice has got into a bad habit of running past the ground ball, sticking a hand out to knock it on when sometimes you’ve just got to stand your ground and take contact to at least halve the contest. He’s done it a few times in each of the past three games. You just get away with it against a side as inefficient as Norf were at times, but you won’t when Zac Bailey and Cam Rayner are streaming through their half forward line. Wouldn’t be surprised if Cox takes a dirty view of it and he’s back to the twos for a bit.Leave a comment:

They all play better with Tom in even Melican.
Our defence is all about releasing Blakey, we are going to plan, I just think we need to be a bit tighter against the good sides.
Mclean did well but as the Ruck at the time, he has to get back and not let a 5ft 8 bloke take a grab on the goal line from a 50m set shot.Leave a comment:

No team is going to be blazing hot every match, and North will knock off a few more fancied opponents this season. Good to get a win, close out the finish in an away game. Especially with 4 first 23 players out. Having said that, McLean was a great in and I hope he keeps his spot.👍 2Leave a comment:

Norths were v impressive. Could have won with straight shooting.
Swans were given a pretty good audit and pretty clumsy
under pressure.
Still good enough.
Well done Bloods.Leave a comment:

Couldn't give a damn that we were, as Isaac said after the game, "patchy."
Hate Norf with a passion and couldn't care less how we beat them!
GO YOU MIGHTY BLOODS!Leave a comment:

Corey Warner, 32 and 4gls in the 2s, should come straight in after that for LloydLeave a comment:

Take the 4 points and move on. A very messy game to some degree, and we are playing far too 'cute' at the moment and wasting a lot of chances, and North let us off a bit today with inaccurate kicking. But I also thought we got a pretty decent reaming from the Umps - more in the fact that they got away with a whole lot that we got pinged for immediately.Leave a comment:
