Heeney was bonkers tough. 30 possies, 11 contested, 6 tackles, 10 score involvements, 2 goals and of course the final give - all with a bloke hanging off him in a way that Isaac will be giving birth in 9 months.

The difference for me though is how clean he stays. And some of those left foot kicks down the outer side wing in the final quarter, only he can do. Let alone the late switch to a left handed handball to Serong.

OMG! Finally something we can agree on. Wrong decision to play Melican over Ladhams. Melican was, as so often happens, out of touch and a metre off the pace. Ladhams is pretty average as a forward but he is greatly improved as a mark and ball user. Still an iffy kick but he would have been a far better option than Melican. I would be ticked off if he did not get a call up next week when we play is former side, Port.

Grundy had no change in Time On Ground the first time this year playing alongside 4 talls.
Can't question him when it matters but Geelong and Saints tried to work him over.

Its no longer a question of who the other team has and can he handle the work load, the way we are going he wont last the season.
