    Fosdike Question

What does Fosdike ever do right ?

The guy continually stuffs up every single time he gets the ball or is in a constested situation. Unless my eyes were deceiving me - I wasn't at the game but was watching on TV - I am pretty sure that Fosdike didn't get a possession in the decisive and successful 7-10 period at the start of the last qtr.

Funny that.......As soon as Fosdike is off the ground or stat-less, the Swannies start performing well.....

P.S. Roosy could have pulled off a masterstroke on the weekend. Lewis Roberts-Thomson looks like a future star in the Ruck alongside Jolly. Crucial move, considering Longmuir - of all players - was killing Jolly with his one-grab clearances out of the centre. I LIKE THE CUT OF THE HYPHEN IN THE RUCK.

There was about 5-6 players in front on him that day starting from Buchanan (Norm Smith IMO), Goodes, Roberts-Thomson etc etc.

Come on, we are not going to hang Fosdike's hat on one very important game for ever are we !!!?? If so, we may as well shut the gate for another 73 years.....

Watch a relay of the Grand Final and then reconsider this ridiculous thread.

I guess it was inevitable that with Mathews in the reserves with Richards and Chambers, and LRT playing a good game, that RWO would have to turn on another 'favourite'.

Fossie has been a solid contributer this year.

I thought Fosdike was one of the two best players for the Swans on GF day (with Buchanan).

His disposal this week and last week was ordinary, but he's been playing pretty well this year and he was not amongst our worst in our past month.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Let's shut the gate for another 73 years re success if we are to accept mediocrity from players this season because one player (Fosdike) plays an outstanding game in a GF win.

Fosdike HAS NOT BEEN a solid contributer this year. Don't look at his stats mind you, they have gone straight to the opposition 8 out of every 10 times. Paul Callery used to get the ball 35 times every match however, 30 of his possessions went nowhere just like bl***y Fosdike's stats invariably turn out to be.

Matthews - good riddance, but unfortunately will be back this week to tag either Edwards, Goodwin, McLeod, Mattner, Riccuito etc etc
Chambers - his uselessness is as obvious as an ashtray on a motorbike
LRT - will never bag the boy, has been outstanding considering his limited football education before the Swans
Richards - also will be back this week to cover the backline vacancy left by LRT now in the Ruck

Don't worry, cressakel is notorious for his/her consistency. Anyone who could be bothered doing a site search could find plenty of 'Fosdike is hopeless/Fosdike must be dumped' threads or posts by cressakel. cressakel's apparent obsession with the topic is something s/he will have to work out with his/her psychologist.

In fact, I suspect that cressakel has set up a bot to automatically post 'Wasn't Fosdike awful?' threads each week after a game. There was some fleeting reference to the actual match in this one, but It's Amazing What Computers Can Do These Days.

PS Thought Ted Richards did very little on Saturday night. We should think about dropping that guy and giving Vogels a go.

Agreed. Was nowhere near best in the grand final, and it was definately his only decent game of his career. WC must have thought it was better for them if he got the ball and consequently turned it over.

Despite GF game, when he is in the team, we arent as good as we could be. You cant help thinking there must be someone in the reserves thats better.

It is amazing what pc's can do these days - that little pinhead Gates has a lot to answer for......... However, I will continue to post threads re the uselessness of Fosdike because he bl***y well is useless and it is affecting the team enormously in this day and age of one turnover and it is an opposition goal football.

I don't know whether to be more pleased that you got reeled in, or more mystified that you got it wrong in doing so.

Nah, SuperTed was in the centre alongside Jimmy Silvestro, Gary Frangalos and roving to Stephen Allander's brilliant ruckwork !

What?!?! Moderators don't edit people's posts like that so don't blame your error on others.

So what did you plan to write?

"I don't know what game you were watching, but Super Ted WASN'T playing and so WASN'T Vogels....."

                              or

Neither of which make much sense.
