I think its all in our own hands. Consistant performances and wins and we won't need to worry about other results and games. We are lucky enough that things have gone our way keeping us in touch with the top four. Its time we create our own luck and string a few wins together to take some pressure onto the top sides in the finals.
This is absolutely it. Lose and it's next-to-impossible for us to finish top 4 (and so be in position to go back-to-back). Win and we're well and truly alive, and starting to look ominous, with an excellent chance of going into the Melbourne game on the back of 3 wins in a row.
At least we know that Goodesie is always up for a big crunch game in Adelaide. Not just in 2003; he was heroic in the narrow loss to Adelaide last year, too.
How the opposition goes the previous week can be a double-edged sword. A team that loses (particularly one it should have won) may come charging out of the blocks with a point to prove. On the other side of the ledger, the fact that Port has now finally dropped out of contention to make the 8, will increase the chances that they lose their intensity and Williams starts coaching only for 2007 rather than for wins in 2006.
