      Everitt leaves the Hawks

Almost certain to be a Swan now you'd think.

Can't see him costing us too much though. Certainly far less than the Hawks could have extracted for him last year.

Dude, this was just debated on another post - almost a mirror image.

Which confuses me - where is that other post????

EDIT: Ahh, it's been moved. I'm going to stay in this post just to see firsthand what the sensation is like when it's moved as well.

        *Holds on tightly*
EDIT: Wow, I just appeared in another post and didn't feel a thing.

What about Richmond. Greg Stafford has just retired. Surely, they would need somebody as an interm fix. Why is everybody immediately linked to Sydney? We need to stop being a dumping ground for disused players.

If Spida does come to the swans lets hope he has recovered from his injurys. He could be a very useful asset.Spida and Jolly in the ruck and Doyle on the interchange.

Although Carlton are one club that desperately needs a ruckman and may get in before us.
Absolutely. We should offer them our 3rd rounder or Ericksen or little Willo (they can choose, but only one), and if they don't bite, we'll just wait for the PSD, thanks.

I'm not worried about Carlton. The Victorian clubs that desperately need a ruckman also tend to be the clubs that:

                  a) suck, and so will follow the accepted mantra of 'get genius yoof through the superdraft', with trading one of those valuable early draft picks for a 32yo likely to lead to rioting in the streets by their members, and

                  b) have no money (e.g. Carlton), and so would be unlikely to 'agree to terms' with Spida, which would be a prerequisite to taking him in the PSD.

He would be wildly unlikely to go west (WA or SA). Brisbane I suppose are a chance to have the money and be interested as a tide-over following Keating, but if they trump us, c'est la vie.

We have 5 ruckmen on our senior list, 4 of whom are either good league standard (Doyle, Jolly) or have a decent chance of becoming so (Shaw, Ericksen; sorry Torture). Spida would be nice, but it would also be nice if we could trade Matty Davis for Judd. Being realistic, if Donk doesn't do something horrible to himself before the end of the year, we have plenty of trading and drafting needs, and a short-term ruckman really isn't awfully high on that list.

Playing all 3 of Spida, Jolly and Doyle in a side that also contains BBBH (let alone Grundy) would be absolutely freakin' insane.

lol. Yar. Not dizzy or anything.

                    If I was to guess...I reckon we'll offer a 2nd round pick.

If chambers retires I would say for sure Swans will pick up Spida Everitt.
                            Love those Swans
