    Schneider

Now don't get me wrong, I love the little fella, but his career is at a cross roads. Is he going to take the next step and be a gun player or stagnate where he is at the moment??

After Micky O took that great mark, Schneider needed to go back and kick a goal. His poster resulted in a loss of momentum and the Pies took it straight down the other end to goal. Good players kick those goals.

1 tackle as well. For a little bloke in a team that is known for tackling that's not good enough. He needs to work harder when we don't have the ball.

I know there are many others who had poor games, however Schneider is at his prime, has the talent and now just needs to apply it.

He needs a few big games for the rest of this year and really stand up in the finals. If not, maybe a useful bit of trade bait?

True he's at the crossroads. He's started an SMS business with his brother, so he might as well go and decide to pursue it. It looks to me it occupied his mind for some time.

I heard he has been carrying an ankle injury.

I think he has been alright this season, a little bit inconsistent I suppose.
Not sure I would want to trade him, given what he can offer us. As a small forward, he is all we have.

        Some stats this year:

        57 tackles (8th)
        201 kicks (7th)
        104 hand passes (11th)
        305 possessions (8th)
        91 marks (10th)
        26 goals (4th)

Given he missed two games, that is not a bad return.

        Compare him with Jarrad McVeigh...
        49 tackles (10th)
        196 kicks (9th)
        93 hand passes (13th)
        289 possessions (11th)
        99 marks (8th)
        10 goals (10th)

Maybe he can be turned into a serviceable tagger.

            lol

Trouble is, the serviceable taggers kick better for goal then him (think Mathews)!

He's great when he's on fire (and he's my favourite player when he is), infuriating when he's not (and I'll be the first to bag him). He was at his brilliant best when he dodged and weaved his way out of the centre square in the 4th quarter when we had some momentum with us, only to be cruelly and wrongly pinged for running too far (blind ump!!).

How far did he run then? At the game it looked like he had a bounce or two and I was surprised to hear the whistle blow.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

He bounced the ball twice, the second time being two steps before he was pinged. It was an appalling error by the (insert your own expletive here) ump.

The footy gods were pating him back for missing that absolute sitter of a shot on goal.

Out of curiousity, does anyone know the umpire who pinged Schneider was the same one who had not long before called a Pie up on the same thing? Was it a case of someone having doubts about whether he'd made the right call on that first one (I think he probably did but it was marginal) and looking to even the score so much that he wasn't concentrating on what Schneider actually did?

Would say he is a bit inconsistent but how can you say at a crossroads? It was only a few weeks ago that everyone was praising him for his great return to form. So it dipped a bit last round, so did everyone. Cant believe these bloody posts anymore - why dont we trade the whole bloody team, would you be happy then?
And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!
