It's certainly not an event made for television. I didn't think it was too bad tho' by 7 and thought Bruce was ok.
I don't really like the frock bit tho' seems really OTT.

Should say congrats to JB - great season.

Time to retire Bruce, put us all out of the misery of having to listen to you.

I thought Dennis actually did a very good job with his segment.
I don't agree in the slightest, moved things on very quickly last night. Thought he did a great job.

A lot of stats, but seeing the whole night is about creating stats and history, I am not quite sure how it is out of place.

I guess if you hated him before the night you were going to hate him on the night though.

And if you loved him before the night, it doesn't matter how bad he was, you would still love him.

In terms of hosting not true at all, I think he genuinely did a good job last night.

Except he sounded like he was having a wet dream everytime he spoke to, or about a player.

I agree - it was a lot less boring than some of the previous Brownlow telecasts. Clinton Grybas is probably the best host, but Bruce did a pretty smooth job. It's not an easy gig.

Ox and Olarenshaw have a way to go, though.

How those two ended up calling anything but their respective pet labradors is beyond me.

Ox looked like he was broadcasting from Labrador. Ha ha!

Demetriou annoyed the crap out of me with the long pauses when the first initial was J in any game involving Geelong. The fact is that he should just be reading the votes, regardless of the name on the slip and all the pre-night hype on favourites etc.

                    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I blame these 80's parents that were clearly overexposed to Wham and Boy George music so much so, that it numbed their minds and they could only think of childrens names that started with J.....

                        haha yeah I agree.

It was funny how fast he started reading the votes after Bartell had secured the win though!

Demetriou was tres annoying. I bet you he thinks he's so funny to pull that sort of schtick.

It was the first time he's ever been to a Brownlow night. Not surprising, he was dazzled by all the lights, and talent around him.

When he wan't pausing there, he was reading at the speed of light other times.

Although I only picked up the one mistake, he made. (Didn't watch the entire lot though)

I'm glad the Umps weren't overawed by Cousins return, and only gave him 1 Vote, unlike the Commentators of the night, who wouldv'e given him all 6 votes.
