Glad he's retired without a premiership medallion around his neck. Poetic justice is a wonderful thing. FIGJAM famously said that he wants to play finals and be in a successful team when he left Brisbane Bears. I think it is fantastic that the Brisbane Bears grew into the Bisbane Lions and created a threepeat of premierships, two of them against Buckley watching on with envy on the ground. FIGJAM was so desperate to play in a premiership that he risked injury in the this year's finals to try and be a part of something special. The fact that he strained his hamstring AGAIN with minutes to go in this years preliminary final may have cost his team victory. He may have been there on the 50 metre line winning possession and kicking the winning goal, but alas, he was on the bench. Had they won, they may have gone on to beat Port Adelaide in the Grand Final. I hope he is thinking that was a possibility. Hahaha.
