I don't know what selection criteria Sheahan uses but obviously it doesn't involve watching Swans games.
Even putting aside his quiet first half of the year, Goodes is a bona fide top 10 AFL player. If Steven Johnson makes the top 10 based on a good finals series then Goodes should be there for his second half of the year, let alone his two Brownlows.
If you asked the 16 coaches which player they'd prefer in their side I don't think any would choose Ling.
