    And that suits me fine.
In years to come, I'll always have that "cloud" to throw back in the faces of my budgie supporter friends.
    Gotta be happy with that

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I wish the cloud could produce some lightning and strike the whole team down

        I don't.

I am a huge fan of Rosa, Embley, Glass, R. Jones (ret), Hunter, Cox, Wirrapanda, Judd and many others in their squad. I really admired their gutsy effort agst Collingwood in the QF) and their gutsy effort agst us in Rnd 1 - they showed a lot of character. I will also have very fond memories of our two teams titanic battles in Season 05/06 and they won't be tarnished because of the actions of some individuals.

It's sad for many wonderful players, who were drafted there and had little choice, to be tarred by the actions of some (Cousins, Kerr, Chick) and the inaction of others (WCE Board).

I don't think so. The external circumstances will be forgotten in a few years.

Perhaps. The infamous bloodbath GF (we was robbed) still exists in the conscious of many on this board not born. Will Bennygate be any less controversial?

                I don't want a premiership by default.

We lost the game by a point and as football is, it is impossible to predict the effect Cousins had.

So, Cousins is removed, maybe a swan kicked a goal but maybe they didn't - it is impossible to know.

I'm not saying they deserve the premiership but i don't think we did either.

I am happy with the awesome game we won fair and square in 2005.

The fact we couldn't kick straight and made poor decisions in that game can't be blamed on any Eagles drug taking. Time to move on.

I wouldn't want to be awarded that win - we weren't good enough and if we had turned up at bounce down we would have smacked them! We didn't and we lost.

You mean at the first 'ball up" of the game. A bounce down is an oxymoron in that a bounce in effect goes up, therefore when the ball is bounced in the centre to commence a game, the first action of bouncing a ball is the downward motion to impact the ball on the ground that causes the ball to go up, hence "ball up". The bounce being the upward motion is the resultant transfer of energy. The ball is inflated to the correct level as to affect a set maximum in height in bounce, provided the ball is bounced in the correct proportions of eveness along the lower side of the ball and both hands of the umpire exact the same strength, direction and motion upon the said football.

Our forefathers who were much more versed in proper English got it right.

I should correct my error. The word bounced as highlighted should be the word impacted.
