Micky O - Set for Another Milestone

According to the AFL Record pre-season edition, Micky O has 461 career goals, and is currently sitting third on the Swans' all-time list behind Pratt (681) and Lockett (462).

I'm not sure whether Ansett Cup goals are counted.

If not, one goal in the first game will make him equal second, two goals will make him outright second. (Even I don't think he'll ever crack Pratt's record).

On ya Micky. Here's to two goals in Round 1.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

lets hope we can give him some more silverware to hang up next to those boots. Fantastic that he has a premiership though, and he has been an absolutely tremendous servant of the club, and certainly a fantastic player. One of my all time favourite players and will be very sad to see him go but what a career from a true champion.

It happened today with his 4 goals.

400th goal to Hall for the Swans today.
Hall also passed Tony Morwood today as well,

Can still remeber his debut, three against the Crows and that goal with DK. A Swans great will Micky O be.

One of the most reliable performaers we have ever had in the club, in a position taht does not lend itself to that

Bizarre note he would have played in the AFL with Dermot Brereton

Amazing to think Lockett got his goals in 98 games

Amazing the impact the man had on the club in such a short time, both on field and off.

I was saying today at the game that I would love to see Magic get his 300 games. Showing 272 today so he has to play all of this season and then some of next. I'm confident that on his form today we wouldn't have to "nurse" him to 300. I think it would be great for the club's history to have a 300 gamer. My son, who's 22 can't remember a Sydney Swans without Micky O. He's been part of the furniture for a long time!

So if Magic plays every game this year he will be in the 290's for the number of games, will he play one more year and make it into the 300 club

If he stays injury free, there's a very good chance he'll go for at least 1 more season.

That would be true for quite a lot of younger fans as crowds really started to pick up from '96 onwards.

And yes it would be nice to have a 300 swans gamer. We've had a few make the 300 but for multiple clubs.

He may be a swans legend, but the stats don't stack up.

That is a lot of games for a forward to get to 460 odd goals.....

If the Swans are serious about rebuilding he should be making way for younger talent. There is no room at this level for passengers (even those that manage 4 goals in a game where almost everyone got to kick one!)

Before you get all upset - reply by telling me the last time MOL kicked 4+ goals in a match.

He doesnt need to kick 4+ goals every game as long as we get 1/2 out of him and he gives goal assists i reckon all Swans supporters would be happy.

Don't forget he normally gets the 2nd/3rd best defender and he also creates a big of magic in the forward line.

He also has had dodgy knees for some years and i think he only does running training once a week.

Some times Micky can be hot and cold, but hey cant the same be said for all aboriginal players.

But when he's hot,he's steaming hot.
