    Malceski's miracle recovery

    Looking Good

Pretty incredible stuff, and this quote is from another article in the SMH:

"We know if it doesn't work he'll have the full reco and he'll be right for next season. It's almost a no-lose situation for us.

"If he comes back and comes back well, we've got him 14 weeks ahead of schedule. If he doesn't, we'll get him for round one next year anyway."
If this is accurate and there really is no risk, then I think we're all allowed to feel a little optimistic!

P.S. Not sure about the System of a Down look

This news is good enough to bring a tear to swantastics eye. Please please please may this optimism come true.

I'm still shocked that in this day & age both the Gabba & SCG do not bring in drop-in pitches during the cricket season.

One again this is indicative of the SCG's attitude towards its biggest & most lucrative long-term tenant.

Still I have heard through the grapevine that the SCG is PAYING US to stay at the ground.

Have a look at the 'quality' of the wicket at the MCG and I'm sure you'll get your answer.

The pitch just doesn't allow for the players to show their talent and I'm certain is one of the reasons that the MCG was overlooked for a ODI Final for the first time since . . . . well I can't remember when!

One game on a hard track in a year where the Domestic Four Day Final was played isn't the end of the world.

Leave the SCG as it is.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

Good point. A 5-day final for the 4-day competition.

Yeah, but NSW could have declared much earlier if it was a 4 day game and finished it in 3 and a half, so really was just another 4 day game
