    Mind games?

No, not another thread about Davis being axed. Rather, an artlcle about the next way they might be looking to get a mental edge.

Intense stuff! It's good to see the Swans are always trying to keep up with the latest advances in sport technology, whether or not it works is another matter.

Have you ever heard a Paul Roos press conference? I think he has been using the stuff for quite some time.

It's not putting players on the couch and talking about their mothers - it's training the mind for optimal performance on the field."
So how does that explain last Saturday night?

OK we need one permanent room for Baz and another for Magic.

And I guess Nick can sweep the floors outside.

Just a thought, but I reckon the Swans could do with spending a little more time thinking about how to kick more than 9 goals in a match and bit less on cutting edge bulldust. It is not that hard - just go out and kick it.

Best post so far this season ROK, it's not (in the words of "Skull" O'Keefe) rocket surgery. Just kick it long and kick more goals.

I tend to agree with that

All I was suggesting was whta is now known to be the current trend of play, except at clubs where Ross Lyon has been/is a coach. Kick it long and kick more goals. It will mean you win more games than you lose.

If that's what it takes to teach our lads the concept of "turning up to play" then I suppose it's a few million dollars well-spent.

But a bit alarming that we're taking psychological cues from an Italian soccer club. I can see the "Swan dive" headlines already.

If this is the strategy of 14 clubs, how is it going to win everyone more games than it loses?

Sorry, I meant "will usually win you more games than you lose". It's amazing what a difference a couple of words can make.

But even that doesn't make sense. If 14 teams all have the same strategy, it won't "usually" win more games than it loses. The maths doesn't work.

Simply having a strategy of kicking more goals than the opposition isn't really a strategy at all. It's an objective - and it's clearly the same objective of every team - unless they're in tank-mode.
