I know that as opposing Swans fans to visiting Cheer Squads, it is rare to experience a moment of positive contact. Last Sunday afternoon, after the Swans had smashed Port, was a rare moment of such a positive contact with a visiting Cheer Squad.
I happen to be in Adelaide on business from next Sunday afternoon. To date I have found it impossible to get a ticket to the South Australian Showdown, set for this Sunday (Round 3).
At the start of kick to kick and in front of the Messenger Stand on the boundary, (where the visiting Cheer Squad usually sit at the SCG), I sought the assistance of some Port (Cheer Squad) fans. They were very helpful, as well as friendly. They were able to point me to the right avenue to get a ticket .Consequently, I was able to obtain a SA Showdown ticket yesterday (Monday).
Thanks Port cheer squad. Not only were you gracious in defeat, you were also very helpful.

). But the Port Cheer Squad are actually excellent on the whole. The way they reacted after the final in 2003 will stay with me. They were so upset yet were so graceful & courtious to us. It was awesome & made the day all the more special to be honest.
