Injured. But won't make it back into the side anyway. Jack is doing his job.

Is he injured? the list at the Herald Sun (as they are the truth behind all knowledge) says

      "SYDNEY
Tim Schmidt (knee) - 3 weeks
Peter Everitt (knee) - 3-4 weeks
Nic Fosdike (knee) - 4-5 weeks
Henry Playfair (hamstring) - 4-5 weeks
Brett Meredith (shoulder) - 8-10 weeks
      Nick Malceski (knee) - indefinite
      Kristin Thornton (knee) - season"

Maybe he has gotten over it this week, but I'm pretty sure he has been injured lately.

Ouch. There are some substantial injuries there. Had no idea Meredith had hurt his shoulder.

The only "good" news is the absence of Laidlaw. Hopefully that means he's ready to resume soon.

But if 3-4 weeks for Everitt is accurate, Jolly's going to become one tired bloke pretty soon.

Didn't someone post elsewhere that it may only be till the week after next for Spider??

Anything is possible, if you consider Ablett was supposed to be a 3 weeker.

That was what Spida said himself on Monday night on FSN. But he also admitted he'd only just started jumping and that his fitness was way down.

In a scathing commentary on the quality of food available in the ground we spotted Crouch on Sunday about an hour before the main game making a mad dash over to the markets at Fox Studio, buying a gozleme and then making a mad dash back with it. "No sausage rolls" he said "little guys like sausage rolls!".

Okay, I made the last bit up.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Given that Spida is supposed to be back this week or next (depending on which report you hear) then perhaps that injury list is 2 - 3 weeks old.

That's what he said to me in the lifts at the game last week.
Then he got out and struggled up a set of stairs.

Spida was at the after match on Sunday and said he would be back for the Wegirls game. He will definitely not be back this week, he is hosting the night at Club Swans on Saturday.

Spida said in the paper he was a definite for the Eagles next week. Crouch was listed as a "possible in" in the return from injury column (the only swan). But that could be because he never appears on the list and the reporter assumed that he was now "off" the list and therefore available.

Surely Crouch is just reserving his right to keep his fitness details between him and his doctor again

                          I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

                            Fair shout Liz....

There's some talent on that list. Let's hope it doen't get worse.

I personally had hoped that we'd see Meredith this year.

Throw in fit and performing players like Everitt, Fossie, Malceski and maybe even Schmidt into an already competitive outfit and suddenley Sydney starts looking pretty dangerous.

On the other hand, let's get all these pesky injuries out of the way now and run into the back half of the year with a full compliment!
