Ticketek disgrace

Hi all,

I think it disgraceful that ticketek is the swans/lions ticket seller & not ticketmaster as other AFL teams.

Ticketek does not have any swans/lions promo logo about AFL yet heaps of other crap sports.

But the killer is its almost impossible to find the swans tickets, it seems if you choose sydney & saturday its not there, or sydney swans in the keyword

The only thing was AFL in keyword that showed the swans, hence why should swans/lions let them sell the tickets if they hide them!!

I typed in Sydney Swans and found them straight away. Had no problems getting tickets.

The decision on who is the official seller of tickets for AFL Matches is not up to the clubs or the AFL itself, but is up to the Grounds itself. So the SCG Trust and ANZ Stadium have decided to go with Ticketek and there is nothing the Swans or the AFL can do about it because that decision is out of their hands.

So the Swans didn't let them sell the tickets, the SCG Trust did. We just have to put up with it.

I typed in Sydney Swans and found them straight away. Had no problems getting tickets.

But if your a sports fan & choose sports & sydney in the search, its not there but all other sports are even Sydney Indoor Climbing Gym!!

It's funny - I've always had the same problem but have regularly seen examples here on this forum of people finding tickets easily.

Case in point was last year - I was arranging tickets for friends and when I typed "swan" or "swans" all I would get was "Swan Lake" - ballet.

From memory, and I haven't brought tickets through there this season, the secret is to put Sydney Swans in the keywords not just Swans.

Totally agree. I typed in Ticketeks respective keyword boxes "AFL" "Sport" "ANZ Stadium" "12 April 2004" and all I got was a choice to buy parking space at ANZ Stadium!!! No mention of a SS vs West Coast game!

Why not phone ticketek - I have had no trouble what so ever in booking tickets over the phone, you pay by Visa and they email them too you - it couldnt be any more simpler.

I had no trouble getting tickets for the game.

Most of the Swans supporters were sitting in bays 16-17 and 30-31.

I got my 5 tickets for $58,how bloody good is that @@@@ me the GABBA's cheap.It was 2 adults and 3 kids.

I was sitting about 8 rows from the fence(bay 16) right behind the 1 and only JF.

BTW...A BIG THANKS FOR THE HUGE FLAG.JF

I sit about 10 rows from the fence ... next to the swans interchange.
For once - Roosey will be able to hear me!!

My point was a person browsing for anything to go to on the weekend would only see NRL not anything about swans even if they choose sports in Sydney!!
