It's banned for the same reason that heroin and pot are banned; it isn't healthy, and it is illegal. It is NOT performance enhancing. Ice makes you FEEL superhuman. It makes you FEEL like you have above than average strength. Ice's so-called performance enhancing effects are psychological only. The ACTUAL performance of a person on ice would be worse than somebody not on ice. It would prevent the player from being able to focus on the game, and would physically exhaust the player. Even if a player doesn't FEEL exhausted, it doesn't mean they won't suffer from fatigue. It will keep the player awake, but it won't magically give them extra carbohydrates to burn for energy. The player will reach his limit in just as much time, if not less; he just won't realise it. So he'll just end up playing @@@@, and not knowing why.

I'm sorry, but if you can't accept that we lost the 2006 Premiership fair and square to a better opponent, then that's just sad.

No, I haven't used ice. However, I've seen quite a people who have. A person high on ice won't be in any fit condition to play footy.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

              Effects of Ice

Your being very selective on the so called performance enhancing properties if Ice. Have a look at the other effects Ice can have and you will see that a footballers performance would ultimately be hindered by the use of this drug.

Ultimitely, yes...and that's what happened, but not until after a premiership was won
