    I don't like Sydney's premiership to referred to as "miraculous". Why was it "miraculous"? It was a proper hard fought flag that was earnt by a hard working team. It's like saying isn't John Howard a lucky bloke to have become PM when he did. He worked his ring off to get to his position.

    "Miraculous" does not mean "lucky". Miraculous means against the odds, or unlikely. The Swans, given the skill levels of the players, would not have been expected to do well that year. However, they fought bravely, and toughed it out, and came away with a miraculous premiership. It's a compliment.

    I think you may be looking for things to complain about. If you look hard enough, you can find any hidden meaning in any article. But the reactions of everybody else should tell you that there really isn't anything to that article. It was a fluff piece, focussing primarily on WC, yes, but not dissing the Swans in any way.
