Gee I hope that his surgery is a huge success and that he comes back as good as ever.
Not only for how important a full recovery is to both himself and the team, but also to shut those "experts" that had the same surgery 20 years ago up, that were all doom and gloom and predicted that it would spell the end of his career.

Those critics clearly lacked any true knowledge of Nick's surgical procedure. They were all up in arms and opinionated on what the required recovery process should be, which is solely based on the their conventional idea on the far less radical surgical procedure normally performed.

I'll say it again, the surgery Nick got is the same which European soccer players have been getting for years now. Guess what, it works!

I reckon if these same people were around 500 years ago they would've been the ones arguing the world flat.

Just watched the full version of the Roos presser on the 10 website. He said the way Mal is progressing, he'll join full team training next week and likely to resume in the 2nds in 3 weeks!!!!!!!
        Unbelievable.

It's great news for Malceski and the club. I hope he makes a successful return.

And still on schedule. Expected to play with the ressies on Sunday week before the Bummers game at ANZ.

              That's amazing.

You should post that on Big footy. Opposition supporters (especially illegals fans) will hate it.

Reckon we need to wait and see how it all goes before any BF bragging. While I'm now excited already about Sunday morning's game, I'm nervous too to see how he goes. Even though all the news has been good thus far, things could yet look different once he actually starts playing again.

Here are a couple more articles, both from today's Australian. The first one is particularly interesting because it is written by an orthopedic surgeon and actually provides some details of what LARS entails, and how it is different to the artificial graft reconstructions that the Doggies players had two decades ago and which have formed much of the basis for those who have condemned in the media the decision to use this approach.

Liz is right, delay the crowing.

Petty jealousy dictates that opposition fans, well typical BF posters anyway, are just waiting for the chance to laugh and say 'I told u so!!'. They don't need additional ammo by us going off half cocked about it's success.

Even at this stage with things looking as positive as they are, I'm still not totally convinced if it was worth the risk for a 23yo who could have went the traditional route and still had the best part of 10 years at the top.

                    Time will tell.

Good luck to him. Could be the biggest crowd to a 2's match in the last few years.
