    Paul Roos

    Well done Paul.

Today you played Bolton on Lloyd. From the start. A masterstroke.

How many times has Lloyd torn apart Leaping Leo. Especially in the first qtr.

Glad you are finally thinking outside the square, worked well today.

I was only listening to the first half but it sounded to me like a good idea. I was thrown into a mild panic when Robert Walls commented that it was a good idea but even that did not seem to put the kybosh on it.

Overall I thought everything about today seemed pretty good. The Essendon rabble did not provide much of a yardstick but I (amongst others) have said that if we are to be a good team we have to wollop the strugglers, and we wolloped some strugglers today.

Our skill level was similar to the WC game, the bombers just weren't good enough to capitialise on our mistakes.

I suspect you had to be at the ground to appreciate how tricky the conditions were. There was an icy, gusty breeze all afternoon that must have made kicking very tricky. No-one seemed to kick with any conviction, and you could see the ball swirl in the air at times, hold-up unexpectedly at others. Combined with what looked like a dreadful playing surface (and just confirmed by ROK on FSN), I think this at least partly explains the very scrappy skills out there on display.

              May explain O'Keefe's goals too.

I did see the ball on the TV swirl around a couple of shots from both sides looked like missing, until the wind curled them around.
