Shaun Burgoyne out for 3 weeks

Been suspended and apparently can't be reduced due to prior record. Balances out us not having Tadgh.

    Damn.
He WAS in my dreamteam. I'm sick of wasting trades for suspended players. I am now resigned to taking the wooden spoon in all dreamteam/supercoach divisions I'm in.
    Is that a record?
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

What about Chad Cornes??? Isn't he due back soon?

If they're both out, our stoppers might get a bit of space.....

He is listed as test on their injury list.

I'm glad you've got your priorities sorted.

Could still challenge and be found not guilty though

From what I saw of the incident he should consider himself lucky it's only 3 weeks.

Is that the one with Mitchell?

If so he is extremely unlucky to get anything for that and he should contest it and win.

If a player decides to attack the man instead of the ball the onus is on the attacker not to to make head high contact. This was a dangerous hit to the head of Mitchell and was lucky not to more seriously injured.

If he's out for 3 weeks then that's good news for us as he was clearly their best on ground last time. Chad should come back from his finger injury (I really need him in my DT/SC).

I thought the contact was accidental and the footage seems to suggest it was his back that made contact, therefore Burgoyne tried to avoid it. I wouldn't be surprised if he got off.

Couldn't agree more. Purely accidental in my view.

I was very happy when I heard Burgoyne is not going to play against us this week. One star less to worry about.

Was it Shayne or his brother who illegally took Doyle out at the SCG a few years ago...that was the first of Doyle's injuries and started his downward slide..people forget Doyle was a gun at that stage too.
