Robert Walls writes positively about the Swans ability to recycle players.

Nice little story and giving credit where it's due. My only quibble is that B2 was always a good player, just couldn't get a gig at the best team of the last umpteen years, whereas Ted was regarded as having no future even after he came here, but has turned into a very useful defender.
Interesting that the teammates are calling Moore 'The Brain' - not surprised. He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball) -
Good article, but an easy one to write.
This is the same bloke, who only four weeks ago, said that we had no decent young players. Now I respect that he wouldn't have had the opportunity to watch many of them, due to their lack of senior experience. But I can't stand people in the media forming uneducated opinions. He should've just said something along the lines of - "I don't know enough about their younger players". Instead of just guessing.
It's a bit like Gary Lyon getting on Footy Classified on a Monday night and saying that he only saw two games over the weekend. If I was in a prominent media role, I would make sure I watched a replay of every match. Otherwise, you'd be just forming your opinions based on what others have told you.Bloods

I thought that was strange at first - would have been better worded if they had said he came to Sydney 13 years ago.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Oh FFS... How many times do I have tell you all??? No threads about/or relating to anything by Robert @@@@ing Walls. He is a tool of the highest order and his banal, moronic, biased commentating on games is muctched only by his under researched, flimsy and inaccurate "journalism".....
Listening to him commentate for five minutes, or reading just one of his idiotic "opinion pieces" (Because it simply isn't journalism) and you should be left in no doubt that this man just doesn't know when to shut up. His constant contradictions and back flipping are further proof that he just likes the sound of his own voice and cares not for how stupid he looks (and sounds), week in, week out.Comment

Yep -- I don't get that. Surely if it was your job you'd watch at least half a dozen matches each week. Wallace used to watch them all.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I got the giggles at Dockerland this week with the "What Does Robert Walls Stand For" Poll
He's failed of course to balance this by mentioning all the times we've got it wrong (Chambers the most recent).Comment

Article made no comment on Paul Chambers.....Or David Spriggs
To comments on Craig Bolton. He made Hamill a millionaire played just about the worst final I have seen a player play in 2000 final vs Carlton
He was shockingYou don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment

On the other hand, the Swans' track record of drafting delisting players suggests they should never do it again. Bolton and Buchanan are probably the only two counter-arguments, and arguably Buchanan is a bit of a furphy to include.Comment

I've called him "Young Einstein" for ages. We had him on our table one year for the trivia night, certainly no dummy. Didn't he skip school years and get uni entrance at a ridiculously young age?Pay peanuts get monkeysComment

I don't quite know what it is about Robert Walls. I think it's when he makes his irritatingly obvious/repetitive comments he has that tone to his voice that just makes you want to scream in frustration as he says the same thing over and over and over again. I still have trouble repressing the memory of listening to him go on and on and on about us during that infamous game against the Saints in 2005. It's not so bad when we're winning but unbearable when we're losing.Comment
