    Who replaces the Irishman?

Barlow appears to be the ideal replacement as I think he could play off half back.

Has pace, is a good kick and is an attacking player, similar to Kennelly.

But is his defensive side of his game up to it at this stage?

Why not play Davis off half back.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I'd like to see Davis get the gig. It's important we give him a run in the backline to see if he's any good there.

He's been playing in the backline with the ressies.

I could play in the backline with the ressies and do well.

We need to see if he can do it at AFL level.

He could do it whilst at Collingwood.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Just go shout it over the fence at training and if an assistant gives you the thumbs up, they've agreed with you and your wish will be implemented. Anyone loud enough can coach at Sydney.

Seems like the perfect time to try Davis there.

I've been as critical of Davis as anybody on this board (well maybe not as critical as Reggi, DrJ and connolly, but i digress) but Davis' form across half back has been pretty good the past few weeks.

As ORB noted in his great ressies report, Davis DID appear to actually give a flying on Sunday.

Murphy is a giant talent, but NO chance to be elevated, his skills are nowhere near AFL standard atm. Fossie and Schmidt may be a chance, but both look like they need more time to get up to fitness, Fossie especially.

All that said, Davis just gives you so much by way of his sublime field kicking I'd like to see him get a last chance.

BUT, it doesn't matter how many balls he plants down MOL, ROK and Whipping Boys throat, if he doesn't chase and harass, back to the 2's, never to return....

PS. Reggi nicknamed Playfair 'Whipping Boy' on Sunday as we both agreed, if Bevo keeps improving and Benny stays in the 2's, he is a certainty to be the next RWO 'whipping boy' when things turn a bit sour.

Davis. It gives him something to do as they won't kick to him in the forward line.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore
