The one that got me was in the first quarter I think. One of them said "McVeigh [I think] is playing for a free" as the camera went to him and showed the Swans player on the ground and a Port player with his knee in his ear.

I tried to for the 2MMM coverage - but they must have been picking up an SA feed as it was even worse.

      Two audio tracks

I think that (technically) they should able to broadcast more than one audio channel on the one digital tv channel... not 100% sure.

Then the broadcaster could offer a choice of commentator - maybe just paying a few $K for the local radio feed (Luffy - get onto it).
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and he'll be shoeless.

Yes, they can broadcast multiple audio channels. It all depends how well equipped set-top boxes are to pick them up.

Foxtel and the commercial networks have pandered to SA and WA in commentary for years now. I never get shocked.

Paul Roos was spot on a few years ago when he said that networks needed to start looking at getting Swans/NSW people involved in our games broadcasts like they do in WA/SA if they want to increase ratings into Sydney.

I was at the game and haven't watched the replay, but for a Rugby League loving mate to e-mail me today with "Why do the commentators on TV hate the Swans guts so much?" probably shouts that we have an issue with commentators in this country and the Swans.

Amazing that we went from Australia's 2nd favourite team to quite hated in a reasonably short period of time.

Thought he was very insightful and showed hardly any bias (Well on channel 9 commentary).
I agree with you completely, he actually seemed to be watching and knew what was going on.

We won a flag that's why.

We are hated by St Kilda supporters because we flogged them in PF in 2005.
We are hated by WCE supporters because we beat them in 2005.
We are mostly hated by Geelong supporters because they thought it was their turn in 2005.
We are hated by Melbourne clubs for ugly footy because we snuff out their good players and they need an excuse for losing.
We are hounded by the Melbourne press for so called ugly footy and media commentators like Schwarz and Pickering openly dont rate us.

Thats what you get for tough, fair, hard footy and winning. Stuff them all I say, I love winning.

Well said Nico, they all loved us until we won the flag. I don't care. I love winning way more than losing.
