    according to an article in today's telegraph, the swans can expect to be targeted with the defensive ploy that is fast becoming the tackle of choice in the AFL tomorrow when they take on Richmond at the SCG. The Tigers have revealed they sought out melbourne storm considered the architects of the grapple, crusher and chicken wing to refine their tackling technique. your thoughts.

    The chicken wing tackle is a blight on the game. It looks like a policeman trying to restrain a hooligan. Doesn't look good for rotator cuffs. If a defender can't even touch the raised arms of a forward in a marking contest, the CWT looks way worse. The way to avoid it is to run like buggeree, or keep your arms well out in front or raise them up high the instant a tackler is imminent, which is not always easy.

      mmm like the channel 10 guys kept crapping on about tonight in the geelong game, the tackling is becoming alot more fierce, and when a players arms are pinned, he cant cushion the fall to the ground.. very dangerous. Remember Nathan Bassett in round 4... out cold because of it
