Love this description in todays DT:

Goodes produced one of the plays of the day with a sensational goal at the 22-minute mark of the first quarter with a flash of individual brilliance.

The dual Brownlow medallist pounced on a centre bounce tap from Peter Everitt and broke one tackle, cleverly evaded another Richmond opponent, took one bounce and drilled the ball through the posts on the run from 52m.
One of the plays of the day? No, THE play of the day.

Pebbles also dropped a beautifully placed kick into the arms of Bevan running with the flight, who drilled it.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Yes!! That was a perfect kick - Bevan didn't need to deviate or break stride.

I'm looking forward to watching the the game again tonight.

From my new toy at home - Foxtel IQ - I can report that the time it took Goodes to complete three kicks, two centre clearances, two goals and one goal assist was 70 seconds of elapsed game time!

Lap it up kids coz you only see something as good as Adam once a decade and this time he plays for us!!

I agree giant..watching a great player at his peak is something to be valued. And being there and seeing it in front of your eyes is even better.

It didn't make goal of the week on afl.com.au. Mind you I still casn't watch anything on that site without it buffering all the time so I haven't been able to watch the other candidates. They must have been good.

                        Motlop's was skillful, but unspectacular.
Burton's was a smack out of midair from 2 feet away.
Thomas's was about as good as Goodes, just ran further due to the ground size.

PS: Goodes and ROk made the team of the week.
