Goodes carry over points

I disagree. I think the points staying live for 12 months is plenty.
So much of what happens in footy occurs in a split second. It's neither premeditated and rarely deliberate. What would be the value in having the points carry over for longer?
A year in footy is long enough as it is.

Being found guilty of an indiscretion has two other effects as well:
- no good behaviour discount for five years.
- extra time for subsequent offences for a similar period.

Is it just me, or does 5 years sound like a long time to have that hanging over your head considering what he plead guilty to?
