I?m a little worry about the St Kilda Round 12 game. The Swans have only won 2 of the past 7 games against the Saints. 3 of those 5 losses were by 51 points (Semi Final/ 2004); 43 points (Round 10/2005); and 26 points (Round 7/2007). The two former games represented the 2nd and 5th worst losses during the 6 year Paul Roos era.

But as the numerous articles in the media point out, only about half of the 2004/05 team are still playing for the Aints. I would base our chances on more recent form. Namely we have been winning and playing good footy (they don't always go hand in hand) and the Aints have been up and down as their record shows.
Having said that, to quote Liz "the two teams bring out the worst in each other".
Hopefully Henry and Barry work out how to play together and pull down numerous grabs and Pebbles kicks straight.

Going back as far as 2004 seems irrelevant to me. On current form, Sydney should romp it in.

You'd assume Davo will be in, wouldn't you?

I'm actually really looking forward to this game, whilst I do think we will win it is a good test for our midfield. Poor as St Kilda may have been, they still have some genuine talent in the middle.

This is a genuine danger game. I remember when St Kilda played us 2 years back in the wet at the SCG. They won a thriller with Reiwoldt playing a blinder.

This will be a tough game!

I know they never play as named, but I do love that they have finally named Barry at CHF and Michael at FF.

Barlow being dropped was a no brainer. Let's hope he can bounce back, because he's got plenty to offer.
If Spida doesn't play it will be interesting to see which of the emergencies takes his place...If it's wet, I hope Bird gets a run.

Didn't Roosy say that Barry would play more as a FF when he came back in initially?

I don't think it matters. Both players work their way up the ground these days and Magic seems to the better of the two in a contested situation if the ball spills to the ground at full forward. Would much rather Hall be presenting across half forward. I think fitness is the only query but he never had much of an issue with that.

I wouldn't be surprised if he went up the ground quite a lot, which isn't hard to do at the SCG.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

does anyone know if the emergencies have been listed anywhere.
It's odd, as they usually appear with the selection of the final 22.

Who do you think will come in for spida if he's a late scratching?
