    Kirsten Thornton

I've only seem him a few times and I'm already on the wagon, but I'd like to know what the more learn-ed RWO posters think of him and how good could he be if he gets that knee right.

What are his major attributes and what does he need to work on? (Besides the knee)

    Kristin.
Girls over 13 can't play AFL with boys.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

There was alot of hype on this kid in pre-season.

I do beleive we drafted him as a 17 year old who was tipped to be a top 10 pick in the next year. Same with Currie, seems like we risk the early age draftees in order to attempt to secure a bargain.

would also like to know what type of player he is?

In the 2007 Scorecard threads I as the only one who posted a comment and that was very non-committal.

Problem with making an assessment on whether he will succeed of not is that the 2006 & 2007 reserves teams dominated ACTAFL and Thornton did nothing to stamp his authority.

Additionally he did an ACL before the season started.

        Cheers

So does that mean he is a possible delisting or will they definatly retain him?

does anyone actually have an opinion on him?

or what type of player he could possibly become?

He played in the NAB Cup against Hawthorn and played very well. Appeared to be playing as a HBF or a loose man in defence. He and Brabazon stopped a number of Hawthorn forward thrusts in the second half.

From what I saw on RWO he continued his form until he did his knee, I think in the last practice match. He looked a genuine chance to be in the 22 for Round 1. Doubt very much if he is even remotely a delisting chance.
