Using that logic Hawthorn should trade Buddy Franklin because he's the most selfish player in the AFL.

Your arguments get more bizarre by the day.

We're missing Buchanan at his best in the midfield. He is one of the more creative players in our team. However, he has been down on form for quite some time. Maybe he only had a couple of good years in him.

I'm not sure that selfishness in a good footballer is not sometimes an asset. Fella called Bartlett was the epitome of selfish, wouldn't have minded him in red and white. And Buchanan doesnt even approach him in selfish football!
Maybe people mistake hunger for the football for selfish play?

Without that "selfish player going out the door" doing something magical, we would not have got a flag in 05. When the side is at its worst, as it is all too frequently these days, it is clearly a lack of spark and excitement that is missing. You can't have a whole team of bland, generic taggers, or even in-and-under midfielders. We have too many already.
