    O'Keefe

O'Keefe is horribly out of form at the moment and has been so for several weeks. I thought his game was rubbish on Saturday night and he needs to lift for us to be any chance.

I know that he isn't Robinson Crusoe, but considering he was on track to be an All Australian this year, I would say he is severely under performing.

Are you serious? Only a few weeks ago he was being lauded for being in career best form.

I agree that he needs to cope with tight tagging a little better but I wouldn't say he's out of form at all.

That's my point, he was in career best form and one of our top players. Recently he has sucked and has struggled to get a kick.

When Goodes has 1 bad game, everyone is up in arms, but when it's O'Keefe, it's considered ok.

We can't afford to have one of our best players get 7 kicks in 2 weeks.

We have far bigger passengers than ROK....

He is the LEAST of our problems.

I think two off weeks after 29, 35 and 28 possessions - all up there with his career-best - can be forgiven. There's plenty of other players who have been far worse, and it may just be because he's getting more attention after running rampant.

Ok so out of our gun players, who is currently a bigger passenger then ROK?

Hall - back to form and played well, so not him
Goodes - Obviously injured, but still playing reasonable
            Kirk - Usual standard
C Bolton - Found it hard without Leo, but still beating his opponent
Jude - Playing career best footy
Kennelly - Playing well, one of our better players
Jolly - Would be the only one I can think of.

Of course there have been plenty far worse. But I'm not comparing him to an Ablett, Grundy or LRT - they are in a totally different league.

We accept mediocrity too much. He played awesome for 3 weeks, then is allowed 2 weeks off?? That is hardly going to take us to the top.

Not sure about the 'attention' either, I wouldn't have thought Corey was considered a tagger.

I thought that was a great match up for the Cats.

Corey has a huge engine. O'Keefe probably could have exploited him in the fwd line, but with us being forced to rest Goodes there, and Baz getting the better of Taylor anyhow, we had to use O'Keefe as the link to get the ball I50.

i dont get why when a player such as okeefe is being tagged and having minimal impact they arent moved.

Could of moved him into a full forward role or down back, or anywhere to get him a bit more involved.

Comparing okeefe to goodes is riddiculous. Goodes suddenly had a bit of movement in the last quarter when it was over, spent the rest of the game watching the grass grow

Well Hall had two crap games prior to this so using your logic, he would of been dropped.

We'll wait to see if you call for Goodes next week.

Kirk has been well out of it for three or four games now.

B2 is hardly setting the world alight.

                      Jude is in great shape.

Kennelly is well off the pace.

Jolly is doing OK. You need to look at the other ruck options if you want excuses.

Jolly has also had a couple of off weeks, but was not far off All-Australian form before that.

A good side can perform even when some top players are down/out. Our depth has really been exposed this season.

Who said anything about anyone being dropped??

Saying someone needs to lift their game is not the same as saying they should be dropped. I also didn't 'call' for anyone.

In that case, then there's 20 Swans players from Saturday night that you need to start a thread on to "lift their game"
