Davis gave us nothing in the seniors he did play.

I look forward to your comments on connolly bringing his Nick Davis opinion to the MOL and Nicky D thread.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Davis threads have been going on since he was dropped after Rd 1. Everyone's stance is well documented in any number of threads on the issue of Davis and his 'treatment'

Now, you start this thread before Rd 22.

          Why?

You either want to discuss for the umpteenth time the merits of the decision to drop Davis or you want to have another quick dig at 'Paul and the gang', also for the umpteenth time.

          Methinks the latter.

I started it last night because I thought there was no forward pressure and it got me thinking about why he was dropped. Now at the end of the season I was wondering what it achieved, and whether - had the injury not occurred, if he would have found his way cack into the team.

As for having a dig at Roos, it is no longer necessary. The smoke has cleared, the mirror has cracked - plenty are noticing that he is massively over-rated and just another coach.

In regard to Davo you are a glutton for punishment. In regard to Roos your opinion is just bizarre.

                Pot. Kettle. Black.

Substitute "Bevan" for "Davo" and that could be anyone talking about you my friend. As for the Roos comment, your unwavering, unquestioning support is almost as blind as the same unwavering criticism you choose to question.

There is one small difference. Bevo is now an established member of our best 22 and future leader of the club, after being subjected to some of the most vitriolic criticism seen against any young footballer. My modest contributions concerning Bevo's manifest and multiple abilities have been vindicated. As for Davo he is heading out the door after an abysmal season. All advocacy in his cause is just digging a bigger hole. As for Roos the record speaks for itself and doesn't need any further comment from anyone much less me. i didn't want to point this out but you asked.

There is no Davo "advocacy" here? The thread posed a question.

As for Roos, I still think he is over-rated. So what? His record is very similar to Eade's. Had Rodney had a little bit of luck with injuries when it mattered he might have elevated himself to RWO "untouchable" status too.

As for Bevo, he is OK. Pretty much representative of the Swans at the moment - looks pretty good against the also rans but struggles against the better sides.

Dang, I must have missed the year that Eade won the Swans a premiership!

Why don't you ague about all the Swans that have achieved as much as Goodes because they should have won two Brownlows?
