    Wallace gone....

Just announced at a press conference, last game this weekend.

It appears he has stood down, as opposed to being outright sacked.

    Details to follow.

Wow. Has it been four weeks since he got sacked by the "media".

They sacked him in the first instance last time - the only reason they kept him on was because the media let him know before the club.

    Loose lips sink ships.

    Again, who saw that coming??
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

He said he decided to stand down because he wants to remain in the game at some footy club in some capacity and felt making decisions on players and recruiting would prove difficult.

A new coach will not be named until after Wallace's last game on Friday night against, ironically, the Bulldogs.

So the question is, can the caretaker do a Paul Roos after Eade left before he was removed?

Nah. Roosey is in a class of his own.

So he will finish having coached Richmond for 99 games...

            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

He should have thought of that and coached them to the finals one year...!

Better off the Tigers get rid of him sooner rather than later.

                    FINALLY!!!

We all knew it was coming really but you can't help but feel for the bloke. It feels a bit like the end of a bad marriage. Nothing against Wallace or the Tigers personally but in the end everyone could see that it wasn't working out. But geez the media gives me the @@@@s sometimes. I can imagine it must be a relief for him to be finally free of it now. He spoke in quite glowing terms of Richo's class and fitness which was nice to see... am glad he was able to at least play a role in re-inventing Richo's career. I guess opinions will be divided as to the merit of him giving one B. Cousins a second chance though, so I won't talk about that here

At least Wallace got the chance to give "the bird" it's 15 minutes of fame.
