    Psd

A lot can change between now and mid-December, but following the reports of those who are out of contract and might put themselves into the PSD, I make out:

    Luke Ball
    Jesse Smith
    Joel MacDonald
    Mark Nicoski
Richard Hadley (I take it he's OOC)
Shane Tuck (still contracted but may negotiate a settlement to be released)
    Sam Power
    Daniel Harris
    David Wojcinski
    Matt Maguire
    Matthew Spangher

Maybe one or two others may be squeezed out of Brisbane, Geelong, St Kilda or W.Bulldogs depending on salary cap issues.

Given we've got pick 5 I'm not sure there is going to be a lot to get excited about. We seem to have had a passing interest in Nicoski. You'd have to assume Ball would be taken, even nominating a large salary, prior to pick 5.

Melbourne's salary cap room means that we are unlikely to get the best available. At least we will have some spare cash to re-sign players.

Brisbane will have to delist a few given how many they've brought in. I'm not sure whether we are interested in their scraps.

If it was 2 years ago, you'd take Matt Maguire in a heartbeat. But since his injury, like Nathan Brown, he'll never be back to his best.

          Mark Nicoski meh maybe ??
Richard Hadley (I take it he's OOC) Still contracted
Shane Tuck (still contracted but may negotiate a settlement to be released) I'd say tiges will keep him unless they are certain he will find another home
          Sam Power No thanks
          Daniel Harris no thanks
David Wojcinski yes, although will probably be pick 2!!
Matt Maguire Yep subject to medical
Matthew Spangher reckon he will either sign with WCE or be enticed by Dees/Tiges

          .
a couple of potentials there although the injury clouds are a negative. I suspect that us, the Dees and Tiges will all be getting into uncontracted players ears so there may be something for us to play with

There's rumours Bradshaw may nominate if he & Brisbane can't come to terms.
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

There were rumours he'd retired as well.

It'd be fun to have him play on the Doggies new CHF though - especially in a PF.

He signed a contract extension earlier this year, so the only way he's going into the PSD is he Brisbane sack and pay him out.

How is the order of the PSD list arranged and by whom? How are the picks allocated? It sounds like this structure prevents us picking early?

Picks are allocated in the same manner as the national draft, but with no priority picks. Ergo we have pick 5.

I'd love to have Wojcinkski at Sydney- a very underated player when playing well imo.
