I liked Aker as a footballer but I think he had too many irons in the fire. He should have just stuck to football: he didn't have the discipline to stop things from leaking and that appears to have worried his team mates. He's burnt some bridges in his time....Matthews was interviewed on 3AW on Saturday and said quite frankly that Aker was a pain in the a***. Once his on field performance had fallen away he just became a liability. The fact that Bulldogs have now done what the Lions did a few years back must tell us something. I think Brad Johnson is a person of the highest calibre and has far more credibility than I think Aker has.
The other thing that I thought was uncalled for was when Rose left the panel, shook hands with Aker and then left, Aker was heard to say p*** off. I don't think that will endear him to too many people.
