Sam Reid to have the ability to go either end. Hmmm, reminds me of a bad case of food poisoning.

The Swans to have a proper CHF? How exciting would that be?

I think they're saving LJ for the kitchen.

      Back to Santa 3.

I was hoping GR was the X Factor. I'm resigned to the fact he'll be playing off the half back line this year. And yeah, no LJ. I suppose he can't mention them all!!! probably shouldn't read too much into it. Mal even got mention!

          Reid should be a defender

Reid played almost his whole junior career as a forward.

He only moved back to stopgap for a game in his last season at the Bushrangers, shone and has more or less been there ever since.

He played a full game forward in the ressies about Rd 6 or 7 and looked fantastic.

Sammy can play anywhere he wants to. He looks good almost anywhere on the ground, and can play.

              He is now my bestboy.

He played AFL Canberra Rd 1 up forward and kicked 5 goals in the first half.

It was pretty loaded up front early on (Pyke/Currie, Playfair, Johnston, Dennis-Lane, Bevan) but when that started to thin out later on he was moved back there. Even late in the season when Ted moved back to the seniors and Heath was missing for a few games, he continued to stay up forward even though the defence needed a tall down back. In the short-to-medium term he's going to be trained as a forward, I think there's more opportunities for him up there.

I'm not saying he can't play up forward, but I think we need him more as a defender.

One of the 3 games I was up for and that's what I remember, kicked about half a dozen. Super hands.

Are people saying he should be a defender, because his brother is?

With Tiger + LRT doubtful and C Bolts still an unknown quantity he may be needed in the backline early in the season.

I'd rather see him at CHF though.....
