Goodes - Is he in trouble with the MRP?

Did anyone else see what appeared to be an attempted trip by Goodsey today in the last quarter. The Hawthorn player went to ground and went off as a result.

Have not seen any replays except at the ground. Anyone else see it?

Fletcher got off a couple of weeks ago in a similar incident, arguing it was instinctual and therefore unavoidable.

I thought he copped a one match suspension?

Correction, sorry. It was Kyle Reimers, Round Seven v West Coast. Reported and let off.

They all blend together these days :$

Nah, you could see him try to take his foot away. If they charge him, he should be able to argue that it was a reflex action which he successfully retracted without doing any damage. At least, that's what I hope....

I hope we hear nothing further on it - it didn't look too great on replay at the ground but was about on par with the trip against us (can't remember who) by a Demon in Rd 1 which went unpunished.

Incredibly stupid thing to do, and an odd reflex to have (if that's what it was) after so many games. I think he could be in trouble for the attempt, though there was thankfully no damage done.

That's about the right result. A rap on the knuckles for the action, but recognising that he didn't actually make significant contact.
