    Momentum

It's a long season and now is obviously the time of the year when you want to be firing. Having the momentum now is the difference now between being a footnote and something that everyone will remember 50 years from now.

Beat the Hawks and we've won two finals and on a roll. Then who knows what is next. Sure we haven't beaten Collingwood in forever, but the pressure will be on them. The pressure to go back to back and the pressure as the side who finished the regular season on top. We finished seventh and at times were so bad that it was embarrassing. The 'Sack Longmire' threads were posted along with all of the other vitriol that fans like to save for their own players.

But at this time of the year, none of the matters. All that matters is winning..progressing..moving on. Get past Hawthorn and we're playing with house money. A top four finish - who would have thunk it from a side that lost to Adelaide, Richmond and Fremantle??

We are a side that has nothing to lose and a team like that is a dangerous one. We just have to get past Hawthorn first. A side that is still living off the fumes of 2008. We can take them out - and then it starts to get interesting....

We are a genuine chance against Hawthorn. That's all we need to believe and all we need to focus on.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
