Replace Kennelly with Grundy and that's probably our best 22.

I'm interested to know who would you be dropping to fit in TDL, Pyke, Armstrong, Mitchell and Morton ?

My only change would be ANYONE for White. (Probably Walsh).
Aardvark I believe this thread was about players improving their performance. 'Who do you think will be the biggest improver this year' not 'Who will replace players in the finals side'. I didn't say anyone would replace anyone else I said it would be beneficial to have improvement from these players. Create real depth. I think Jetta would be another. The new players coming in are going to create competition for places as well. By the way Armstrong will play the first game in my opinion, we didn't get him to leave him in the resies. But I believe there will be an overall improvement this year not just one player.

I was just interested to see where you saw them fitting in. Unlike you, unless there are major injuries, I can't see a place for Armstrong Rnd1. Who's he replacing???

I have got a feeling for Harry Cunningham being the surprise packet of the season .

        Parker Reid Rohan

I'm going to consider this Season Nbr 1 for Jed and expect him to break into the Seniors.
JPK has an opportunity to become an elite midfielder.
Mumford, just by virtue of eliminating the suspensions will improve, plus he looks lighter and fitter so less stress on the knees.

I'm not going to say Sammy Reid, as I don't want to be disappointed if he doesn't progress as well as we hope. But I think he will indeed - we have a potential superstar in super Sammy, and I can't wait to see what

I'm hoping this is a real breakout season for Rohan and for Jetta. Rohan has shown us some moments of brilliance (that game in Geelong springs to mind!) and now we need to see it week in week out from him. Jetta has not quite lived up to high expectations so far - we know just how good he could be, I'm just hoping this is the year he really comes of age at AFL level.

But most of all I just hope we see an overall improvement in the team as a whole. I think we made some strides in 2011 over 2010 (despite losing in the same week of the finals) and more improvement this year should have us pushing up towards the top 4. I do think we now have a core of players that can soon be challenging for a flag, and I want to see our team in 2012 take those next steps on that journey!

I'm pretty confident in saying Rohan.

Sam probably has at least another couple of years...

In the small rag in Melbourne this morning it said Rohan was scintillating in an intra club match yesterday. Was anyone from RWO there?

Pyke will be the big improver this year.No reason to doubt bar injury. He will close the gap with Mummy in the ruck and be deadly dangerous up forward.Watch out if you play in front of him aslo as he is a unit!

Kennelly. The four big guys are not going to be needed in every game. In other words if a team has fast half forwards and only three key possie players then one of LRT, Reg, AJ or Teddy will go. LRT will probably not play forward/ruck this year. Cunningham could probably prove gold for us this year you could well be right. GWS have three key forward set up with a specialist ruck either resting on bench or in the forwardline. I would suggest forwardline as Giles is a pretty good shot at goal, Ports loss I think. They have fast sharp hf line. We need to be tight down back and a few of our players make poor decisions and dispose poorly. Marty (at times poor decision making), Reg (poor disposal at times), Shaw (runs too fast thinks too slow at times), LRT (poor decision making at times), Teddy has turned out to be our safest big backman, AJ and Smithy the other safies . When I say at times I mean too many times to be overlooked.

I watched the highlights of the intraclub match and Pykie was brushing off tackles as though they were gnats. He is one huge unit and he and Mummy seemed to be having a good battle in ruck. I think he definitely will be used as second ruck this year.

The flip side is that the guys can't tackle.

At times, his decision making let him down.
At times his assistant coaching placements defy logic.

He (if it is his decision alone) has already attempted to re-organise the coaching staff.
His decision to pull a backman from the full forward coaching staff is a relief ....

I hope he will be an improvement this year. If not, we have wasted an extension to his contract on him.
