Parker lifts Contested Possesion rate - Rnd 4 Stats 2012

Has the kid been let off the leash??

Rnd 1: 7 contested (out of 17 possessions)
    Rnd 2: 4 (13)
Rnd 3: 17(30) One behind JPK
Rnd 4: 13(29) One behind JPK

    RWO - RedAndWhiteOnline.com

Jetta still leads the way in goal kicking with 11.2 averaging 2.8 goals a game.
3 goals a game in his last 3.

    Sure beats 0.19!!!

I dropped him from my DT when he broke his jaw in round 1 because I figured he'd be out for weeks.

It will be interesting against hawks. Thus far, Jane has taken 3rd loose tag and run them forward. Doubt hawks will lay off Parker this week. Hopefully arrogance says they will.

Bald eagle and jpk will get their usual attention.

It will be interesting to see if they send Lewis to him and try and play through him.

Wow, the AFL has some shockingly low standards if we've gone from what, second last to first?! If they keep it up perhaps all that work they put into the offseason is paying off.

Anyway, Parker is a gun youngster. I was pleasantly surprised by his work in the forward line last year, but clearly he's had a big off-season. Amazing output, amazing work rate for a kid that hasn't played 20 games yet. It's almost comical that I think he's an integral part of our midfield and he hasn't even played 20 games.

Every recruiter that passed over him is an utter nuffie. Especially the head recruiter at the Bombers. Fancy passing over a ready made inside mid for Ariel Steinberg.

Oh well, I'm looking forward to seeing him develop over the next couple of years. He's a really keen, smart affable kid.

Yep, 61 goals, 46 behinds for an accuracy of 69%.

GWS are second with 30 and 30 for 65%. Rushed must be excluded...

We passed over him in the first round and had a surplus of inside-mid types - logical decision. The fact that so many teams who needed those big-bodied inside types like Essendon or Melbourne didn't go after him...well it speaks for itself. We picked him not because we needed him, but because he was quality.

Mind you, I still think we're nuffies for not taking Darling first, but that's a different issue all together.

Is Parker now more important to us than Mumford?

                          Actually, serious question here......

Do we think he has passed Hanners? In terms of abiltity, skill and importance to the side?

                            Can I choose them both??

I agree Hanners has had a quiet start to 2012 but you have to remember he had two surgeries in the off season and his last 10 or so games from last year were outstanding.

If Parker continues at the same rate he has been improving and Hanners gets back to his best (and he will improve too!) - we have two unbelievable players on our hands!

They're different types of players, Parks being the hard inside and Hanners more a running ball distributor. While Hanners still has some work to do on his disposal by foot, I'd rate them about the same
