What is an elbow cork that AJ had on the weekend?
Is this a hard bash to the funny bone?
I always thought a cork was a impact injury to soft tissue/muscle.

I always though a cork was a badly bruised muscle, thus the amount of blood in the area.
So I assume you may be right and it was a hard knock to the elbow.
It was hard to pick up exactly how he did it. he was fine one second then in pain the next with out any huge impacts going on.

I cracked an elbow once, I rode motorcycles (very badly too) so not many bones I haven't broken. X rayed, told nothing wrong, got a letter a week later saying come back, we found a fracture. It is a very bad place to have any kind of injury because it connects to everything else and nerve and ligament damage is common, don't heal quick either, I couldn't pull in the clutch for weeks, never mind play footy

The so called "Funny Bone" must have been named after Rob Schneider. Something that is light years away from being funny.

A cork is a muscle bruise (according to Google who never lies) so I'd say the muscle at the back of the arm just below the elbow was hit for it to be called a cork.

If the muscle fills with blood it makes it pretty awful to try and bend that arm. Hurt.

I did that playing netball once - fell on arm no break or fracture but couldn't move it for up to six weeks because the fluid/blood restricted it.

Luckily via the press release Swans just sent out AJ will have a fitness test on the weekend so it's not as bad as the above.

The only other one I heard was on the trip to Ireland when someone got an elbow injury in Cork.

I think it sound like a solid impact with one's funny bone. Never understood why they called it a funny bone when it hurts so much.
